painted lady
An incredibly talented reader in Montréal, Québec, one Ms. Karine Léger sent me a message today to share a painting inspired by one of my photos.

Thank you so much Karine. I love all your paintings, but this is a true honor.
(I hope you do not mind that I post it, I was very excited, I have linked to you your website in the sidebar.)

Oh man! I didn't know you had a blog. I used to keep a blog, but I haven't updated it in ages. The decline of it corresponded with my company's upgrade in firewalls, so now, all URLs with word 'blog' in it are blocked. Fortunately, they haven't caught onto Flickr yet.
Anyway, again -- I wish I could have made it to your opening. I'm really happy for you. It seems like you had a great time.
Ha! I actually checked out your blog and the philly writers thing a little ways back. I've been a little more flaky about writing these days, but now that the show is in hand, maybe... or maybe look for more chances to show.
No worries about not coming. Thanks for the kind words Karin.
How does it feel to be immoralized in paint?
it is something entirely different and very special. a huge honor.
