You might recall in my last entry that I mentioned visiting a certain eye-candy-filled nursery. Well in the most sweet thereafter... I got myself discovered by way of the photographs. To quote my friend Meera, I just gotta kiss the Internets. What a beautiful gift. Bringing me together with a client who not only loves my work, but who I have long been wishing I could work for.
Last week I had my first two half-day shoots for them and I am totally in love. Can I just say dream job? Over and over again? I am so excited. This is a match made in right here on terra firma... albeit a heavenly stretch of it.

I am very fortunate. This afternoon, I received an email blast and that photo seemed awfully familiar....
Very exciting to see them in action already! If you have a chance and you live in the area, you should definitely check out the store. Makes me wish I had a garden and unlimited funding. And better than grayish thumbs.
This, surprisingly, is only a smidgen of all the things falling into place. I've got a few shoots in the works for the summer. Planning a mini-vacation. Renewing on all levels. Taking some of the treks into the hinterlands Michael and I have been promising each other.

Most recently, we decided to find some excitement in the Durham County area. After my shoot at Durham Press it was recommended I check out a few towns up that way. While it ended up being a lovely drive, vast majority of the towns we passed through had nothing but gorgeous, nicely restored stone farmhouses... not the sort that would be in our best interest to bust into unannounced. When we had just about given up we found our target. Easy pickins. In a park, unposted, easy entry. Lovely and haunting.

Despite the fact that every time we go to a sketchy neighborhood, the next day/hour/week there seems to be a violent crime perpetrated right where we were, this last weekend, in what would prove to be a bit too much of a test for my new iPhone's GPS to handle, we decided to tour Camden for construct material.

Now perhaps I am just growing used to it, but North Philly honestly scares me less than Camden and I didn't think that was possible. When we hit the cap on the fear level and just wanted to get the hell out of Jerz, iPhone decided that we were already on 676 when we were stuck next to it... driving in circles. Now I know why I should never go to Camden. You may never leave and not for even dying there. Lesson learned.
Onward! Upward!
